Microfact attended the REDCAMIF Conference in Guatemala from the 20th of March to the 24th of March 2023. The event has been a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with Central American and Caribbean partners of Microfact after the COVID pandemic. Seeing each other in person, it was clear that everyone had been missing this.

“Resilience and Reactivation of Inclusive Finance in the Face of the new reality”

The 10th Central American and Caribbean Microfinance Conference has created a space where more than 800 participants discussed how technology could serve a greater number of clients. Along with how it can provide solutions in a more effective way to the client’s demands. These participants included of which Microfinance institutions (MFIs), Investors, Donors, Regulators, NGOs, and others. REDCAMIF’s conference was also a space for knowledge management and the exchange of experiences. Including updating technologies, and innovative business models that contribute to improving the living conditions of underserved populations.

REDCAMIF’s conference was also a great opportunity to meet with the Microfact trainers that are active in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean. We exchanged knowledge and experiences. As well as discussing the current projects and plans for the future. Thanks to their fantastic involvement and volunteering work, stand nr 11 of Microfact, has been one of the most visited and appreciated.

It was a wonderful experience to reconnect with multiple actors from the microfinance sector working for financial inclusion. Along with meeting the people of Guatemala and Central America. Of course, we showcased our Microfact Alliance for Impact initiative and lots of Investors and local networks became very enthusiastic about it.
